About Janelle

Originally from Trinidad, Janelle has been residing in Canada for over 20 years. While splitting her time between Eastern and Southern Ontario, she developed a passion for film making at an early age.

While studying as an English Major at York University, she quickly realized that her true calling in life was to produce films and decided to enroll in film school. A few years after completing the Film and TV Production at Trebas Film School in Toronto, she relocated to Vancouver, BC to pursue a career in film.

A recent graduate of Vancouver Film School's Entertainment Business Management Program, Janelle combines exceptional project coordination skills with creativity to complete projects of superior quality and potential. Her interests include, but are not limited to, film/TV production, directing, marketing/distribution, cinematography, and web series. A few of her projects include "The Music of Erich Zann", "VFS' Blast Light: "Allah, Allah, Allah", and the production of "Meow Mix: a Charity Compilation CD for VOKRA".

Currently, Janelle is developing two new projects - one is entitled “Stub” , which tells a story of a disgruntled man who’s trapped in the annals of bureaucracy and the other is entitled "Haven", which explores death.

On a Personal note: In her spare time, she can often be seen walking her dogs, catching a movie, and exploring various cultural food venues around the lower mainland.
